And why the name? We relocated up here in 2021, but thanks to COVID, had a couple of purchases fall through. The first place on which we had an offer accepted was in Nairn, and was the first house on the left in town as you came from the Inverness side. I loved the idea that our entire address could be "First House on the Left, Nairn" and decided that would be a cool business name too. While we were very excited about that house, ultimately it was losing it that caused us to look further east, and eventually led to us finding our place in Banff. It all worked out in the end, and I still love the name, even if the significance is somewhat less clear than it would have been.

Having said that, I am also a director of The Forge in Banff, which is indeed the first property on the left on its street, so maybe that still counts?
